NAVGTR, or the National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers, is a non-profit media organization that recently held its 19th Awards ceremony. The nominations included Asobo's A Plague Tale: Innocence, which made its appearance in eighteen categories. However, the game that stole the show with the most amount of prizes turned out to be Remedy's Control.
Control won prizes for best Animation (technical), Art Direction (Contemporary), Control Design (3D), Direction in a Game Cinema, Graphics (Technical), and Texturing/Lighting.
Other games that also bagged some great prizes include Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding and Obsidian's The Outer Worlds, each winning five prizes. A Plague Tale: Innocence and Untitled Goose Game won four prizes each. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won three prizes, but one of them happens to be the most coveted award - the Game of the Year. Sekiro also bagged the Game of the Year title at The Game Awards 2019.
