Developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital dropped the first teaser trailer for Shadow Warrior 3, and the game seems to be a fun-filled and gory business. Shadow Warrior 3 brings back protagonist Lo Wang, and even though the teaser trailer was quite short in length, it did show off some of the interesting equipment that Lo Wang will carry in his arsenal. The equipment also includes a brand new grappling hook.
The developer is aiming for a fresh gameplay experience as the game's director, Kuba Opoń, stated, “we hope that Shadow Warrior 3 will feel like a homecoming for those fans that have been with us since the beginning.”
As the teaser trailer concluded, Lo Wang asked fans to wait for the full gameplay reveal, which is expected to release during Devolver Digital's digital showcase on July 11.
It is also said that the game will continue the story of Lo Wang and his pursuit of an ancient dragon that was accidentally freed in his previous adventures. However, Wang will face several demons and bad guys standing in his way, preventing him from capturing the dragon again.
The funny part about the teaser trailer is that Lo Wang referred to the teaser as the teaser trailer within the teaser trailer and sprinkled his low-brow humor through the video.
It is also great to know that the upcoming sequel will retain the gun and katana gameplay as seen in previous Shadow Warrior games. Although most details have been kept from fans until the official gameplay reveal, we are quite certain that Shadow Warrior 3 will have a great impact on longtime Shadow Warrior fans.
Shadow Warrior 3 is expected to release in 2021 for PC. There hasn't been any information on whether the game will release on other platforms or not. More information is likely to be announced at Devolver Digital's showcase on July 11.
