Publisher SEGA and developer ATLUS have released a new trailer for the upcoming Soul Hackers 2, with this latest one featuring the allies of Aion and their mission. Featuring the colorful cast of characters who will accompany Ringo on her journey, check out the new trailer for Soul Hackers 2 below.
The new trailer for Soul Hackers 2 opens with a closer look at Karakucho, the cyber city based on a futuristic look of Japan. With corruption rampant as is with every major city, the fate of humanity and its future lies on the journey of a ragtag group of misfits called the Agents of Aion. In Soul Hackers 2, they must do all they can to decipher the meaning of their destinies to save the entire world from a planet-consuming apocalypse.
The trailer introduces the Agents of Aion, who will carry out this world-saving on an epic scale, starting with Ringo and Figue. These two have been created artificially by the digital hivemind of Aion to prevent the end of the world, effectively making them sentient non-organic beings. However, despite their seeming perfection, they will still need some help, and three other characters will help them save the world.
These three are Summoners, beings capable of summoning otherworldly creatures to their cause: Arrow, an agent from the Yatagarasu group; Milady, a mysterious member of the Phantom Society; and Saizo, a freelance Summoner who follows his own path. Throughout the game, Ringo will need to revive these allies and understand them better. That said, Ringo will end up being affected by the emotional states of these Summoners, and to help her cope is the Soul Matrix.
In Soul Hackers 2, Ringo can delve deep within the Soul Matrix to help ease her fellow Summoners’ cognitive conflict. In the process, not only can she get to know them better, but she can also raise their Soul Levels further to fully prepare them for the arduous journey of saving the world.
Soul Hackers 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store this August 26.
