One of the more unique-looking open-world crafting and survival games that was released last year is "Soulmask," which incorporates a unique mechanic into its world.

Another feature that players will encounter in the game is tribesmen, who can be recruited and assigned to various jobs to help you build and expand your city. Even with all the power of the masks in "Soulmask," you will still need allies if you want to progress even further.

This guide helps players understand the basics of tribesmen and how this particular ally system works in the game. There are tips on how you can recruit tribesmen and assign them to various jobs to help you out in your adventures.

How To Recruit Tribesmen

The passive way of recruiting new tribesmen to join your village is by waiting for random Vagabonds or explorers to stop by your camp and ask to join your city.

However, if you want to get more people to join you, you have to explore the world and find them yourself, according to Game Skinny.

While Barbarians and Outcasts are some of the enemies that you can encounter and battle against in "Soulmask," you can also persuade them to join your cause. You can do this by deterring them in battle using your intimidating mask.

Where To Find Recruitable Enemies

The enemies that you can intimidate into joining your tribe can be found scattered throughout the world of "Soulmask." Most of these NPCs hang out at camps in Ruins and Barracks, which you can look for on your map.

When you find groups of enemies, it is recommended to try and lure them one by one so you can focus on intimidating them without worrying about other enemies attacking you.

After deterring enemies, they will be prone to the ground, and you should give them liquid food to gain their trust.

One thing to note is that you need to damage the enemies by roughly 20% of their maximum health in order to deter them from fighting. You then just have to press the prompt to deter them if you want them to join you.

How To Assign Jobs to Tribesmen

After you recruit as many tribesmen as you want for your village, you can assign them various jobs to ease your load a bit. The first thing you should check is your people's proficiencies because they will have unique stats in this regard, The Gamer said.

Press the I key to open up your Clan menu, look at your tribesmen, and manage all of their aspects. If you click on the small profile icon on the right side of the character's name, you can see their current proficiencies and traits.

The hammer and anvil icon will open up your tribesmen's Work page, where you can assign specific tasks related to a variety of work.

Then, you simply click the "+" button to add a new Work Assignment, where you select the Work Type and Work Location and define the Work Goal.

Other Tips

While your tribesmen will work for you, they will sometimes get stuck or simply stop and become idle at some point. To fix this, you need to check their priorities, check for missing requirements, and provide adequate access to work locations.

Another problem that some players missed was that there were missing doors on buildings, which made tribesmen bug out. When they do not see a door, they will get stuck standing in the doorway, according to Game Pressure.
