A week after casting Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino), Spider-Man: Homecoming has added another high-profile comedian to its roster. Hannibal Buress is on board for Spider-Man’s Marvel reboot, Variety reports.
Burress’ character, like Spider-Man: Homecoming’s plot, remains a secret for now. Production is set to begin this summer, so hopefully more details arrive in the coming months.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and stars Tom Holland (In the Heart of the Sea). Holland made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Captain America: Civil War, which earned high praise and built anticipation for Peter Parker’s upcoming spin-off film.
Other actors joining Spider-Man: Homecoming include Logan Marshall-Green, Zendaya, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei, who also made an appearance in Civil War.
Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives in theaters July 7, 2017. Stay tuned for more updates.
