Four of the spring anime season 2016’s shows have been preempted due to special news coverage of the Kumamoto earthquake on TBS and Fuji TV.
Episode 2 of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress as well as episode 15 of Assassination Classroom season 2 were scheduled to air on Fuji TV Thursday evening, but were delayed.
Episode 2 of Shonen Maid and Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto were similarly scheduled to air on TBS but were pulled in favor of news coverage.
This means Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress will also be delayed on Amazon Prime Video , according to the following tweet from the official Kabaneri Twitter account:

(The tweet simply explains that episode 2 of Kabaneri was put on hold due to the special news coverage of the earthquake in Kumamoto prefecture and also confirms that Amazon Prime Video distribution is similarly paused as a result.)
Kabaneri was scheduled for 12:55 AM JST, Assassination Classroom for 1:25 AM, Shonen Maid for 1:58 AM and Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto at 2:28 AM.
The 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit Kumamoto Prefecture around 9:26 PM local time, the strongest earthquake to hit Japan since 2011’s disaster at Fukushima.
