You’re probably wondering what’s the advantage of being a Lifetime Subscriber. Well, you'll get instant access to all Lifetime Rewards and exclusive species like the Talaxian.

Admiralty Bonus Week

There’s also a new promotion in Star Trek Online, which started yesterday, called Admiralty Bonus event. For the duration of this event, completing assignments, regardless of whose missions they are, hand out double Campaign XP. This should result in faster progression. All Tour of Duty missions also award bonus Dilithium Ore during the event. This event ends June 10.

Patch for PC

On June 3, a new patch was released for the PC version of Star Trek Online. Problems resolved include:

  • An issue that was preventing various New Romulus missions from being replayable.
  • An issue with the "Universal Designs" Starship Trait that could cause its bonuses to expire prematurely when triggered by certain Consoles.
  • An issue with the console "Bombing Run" to now correctly trigger the "Universal Designs" Starship Trait.
  • An issue that could cause "Faulty Section 31 Holo-Disguise" items to end up in unintended inventory or equipment slots.
  • An issue that was causing the visual FX for the "32c. Refit" phasers to display as green instead of blue while under Fire At Will.

The patch also improves the consistency of powers that modify Universal Consoles. Symbiotic Ice's bonus to Beam Weapon Damage has been increased from 2.5% to 6%.

Star Trek Online is set sometime in the 25th century, which Trekkies know is about three decades after Star Trek: Nemesis. The game was first released in 2010 for PC and required a subscription. It was later relaunched in 2012 and now had a tier of free-to-play access. Console versions were released by 2016.
