We have our first look at Rey from Star Wars: Episode 8, thanks to a blurry photo from some variety of clandestine Christmas ornament convocation.
Both Rey and Luke Skywalker are blurrily visible In what Instagram user sw_up_wir20 calls a “sneak peek” of new Hallmark ornaments, several for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. While Luke appears to be wearing his costume from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey is posed in a new getup for Star Wars: Episode 8 that Making Star Wars describes as “ a black sleeveless outfit, a belt, some type of pack on her lower left leg, and boots.” I’m hard put to make out that much, but maybe you’ll see something:
The leak of Rey’s Star Wars: Episode 8 costume may be well ahead of when we’ll get an official look at the character in Episode 8 marketing material. There’s not yet a trailer and the official title, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, was announced Monday.
In addition to the new outfit, most likely worn as Rey trains with Luke Skywalker, the Christmas ornament leak reveals that Rey will wield a blue lightsaber, likely the same lightsaber, originally built by Anakin Skywalker, that she brought to Luke at the end of The Force Awakens.
So now we know that Luke and Rey will wear clothes in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, out in theaters Dec. 15.
