The Power Season 3 release date isn’t until July, but thankfully Starz has given us 45 seconds of new footage (and quite a few new Power Season 3 spoilers) to hold us over for a few weeks. It appears James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick isn't going back on his word. He's focusing strictly on running the club and officially done with all the dealing business. “Forget Ghost, I’m out the game,” James (Omari Hardwick) says in the clip.
Ghost lives a double life. By day he runs a successful club, by night he runs the streets. 50 Cent plays Kanan, a drug dealer who was locked up for 10 years. Once he gets out in Season 2, he’s after Ghost’s drug ring, even though Ghost desperately wants to get out of the business.
Tommy starts thinking about a solo path for himself and questions Ghost’s methods, loyalty, and commitment after he gets arrested with their drug supplier, Lobos. The trailer strongly suggests Tommy and Ghost’s relationship remains rocky. “I’m gonna put a bullet in his head,” Tommy (Joseph Sikora) says in the trailer. There’s no confirmation Tommy was referring to Ghost, but a suspect shot of Tommy giving Ghost the death stare from across the street strongly suggests this.
At the end of last season, Ghost left Kanan to die in a fire, but it turns out Kanan was able to escape. Now in season 3, Kanan, and Tommy, are going to be out for Ghost’s head. Starz hasn’t announced a specific date in July, but we’ll keep you updated.
