The next expansion for Stellaris goes live later this week, delivering the first new story content since the game debuted back in May, and the latest trailer for the Stellaris: Leviathans DLC offers an early look new features being introduced by Paradox Interactive. The video also includes brief explanations of those features by a ranking member of the Stellaris team.
Less than a week after announcing the next expansion for Stellaris , Paradox Interactive released a second promotional video for the upcoming Leviathans DLC. This time, we get specific details on some of the new features we’ll see in the next Stellaris add-on, including the massive creatures teased in the announcement trailer. We also get a bit more on the “War in Heaven” content, a new conflict between two Fallen Empires that players will be dragged into, which was first mentioned last week. And all the new information is delivered by Stellaris game director Martin Anward, who serves as narrator for the “Feature Spotlight” trailer published on Monday morning.
Here’s how Paradox described the new Stellaris: Leviathans content in the trailer’s description:
Guardians : Powerful space entities with mysterious origins and motives. Fight or investigate them to unlock technologies and gain access to great treasures.
Enclaves : Independent outposts of traders and artists who are willing to make a deal. Exchange resources, purchase information about the galaxy, or commission a great work of art for your empire.
War in Heaven : Where will your fledgling empire lie if two ancient Fallen Empires decide to renew old grievances in a War in Heaven? Will you err on the side of caution and take a side with the stronger power, or will you strike at both whilst they are occupied with their own titanic struggle?
