If you felt the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer gave away the whole movie, you’re wrong. Director Zack Snyder recently told MTV we’ve only seen a small portion of what’s to come in the film.

“I have the benefit of seeing the movie,” Snyder told MTV. “It’s cool that they think it’s too much and I appreciate people not wanting to know, but there’s plenty that they don’t know. There’s a lot of movie that’s not in the trailer.”

Snyder also addressed the complaints about Lex Luthor’s portrayal in the Batman vs. Superman movie trailer. The director told MTV that there’s more to Luthor than we’ve seen so far and fans will understand his actions once they see his scenes in context.

“In the trailer, of course he comes across in a very specific way,” Snyder said. “In the movie, he’s like a million times more sophisticated than what you get in 30 seconds. But that’s also the fun of it. That’s why you go to the movies, so you can actually see the context and understand the depth.”

The Batman vs. Superman director didn’t want to spoil anything for fans of the superheroes. He told MTV he hates when “spoilers” are leaked and want audience members to experience the movie without know what may or may not happen. Read Snyder’s full interview with MTV here.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is slated to hit theaters on March 25.
