First it was the most popular manga in the world coming to ComiXology when the digital platform and Viz Media agreed to bring Weekly Shonen Jump to mobile devices the same day as Japan, but now the hottest franchise -- manga or anime -- in the land of the rising sun will now be available digitally as well.
ComiXology has added Kodansha Comics to its digital library, which includes the popular Attack on Titan manga.

“It’s wonderful to bring our deep manga library to comiXology and their passionate audience,” said Alvin Lu, General Manager of Kodansha Advanced Media, the Kodansha subsidiary in charge of its digital distribution. “We’re thrilled to provide a significant boost to comiXology’s manga selection with some of the most-talked-about new manga series, such as Noragami, The Seven Deadly Sins, and of course Attack on Titan.”
With the additions of Weekly Shonen Jump, Kodansha Comics and the volumes of popular manga like Naruto, ComiXology is becoming a landing spot for not just American comic book fans but for manga fans as well.
Series like Sailor Moon, Akira, Fairy Tail and the aforementioned Attack on Titan will now be at reader’s fingertips.
“Kodansha is a publisher that comiXology fans have been clamoring to read on our platform,” said David Steinberger, comiXology’s co-founder and CEO. “I’m a huge fan of Attack on Titan and can’t wait to gift the first volume to friends and family and have them experience this great series on our platform for the first time!”
There’s plenty to love from bringing in Kodansha Comics to the ComiXology fold and maybe they’ll be even more manga joining the ComiXology platform soon.
