Pokémon Creative Design Director, Eric Medalle Dies In Tragic Windstorm

On March 13, Eric Medalle died during a Sunday windstorm when a large tree crashed down on his family’s SUV. Medalle was taking his daughter for a drive near Swear Park in Seattle when the tragic accident occurred.

According to NBC 5 , (via NintendoEverything ) the 42-year-old was identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s office on Monday. When the accident occurred, a 36-year-old woman, who asked to remain anonymous, pulled Medalle’s daughter out of the SUV. She was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Medalle worked for the Pokémon Company International as their creative design director. He designed all of the localized logos for the following Pokémon games, according to Bulbapedia :
