Not only is Shadow of Mordor 2 a real game, it seems development on the project has already begun. This news comes from a report by Nerd Leaks.
As Nerd Leaks points out, the profile for stuntwoman Lauren Kim at one point in time showed that she had worked on Shadow of Mordor 2. Kim’s profile has since been edited to remove the entry.
Interestingly enough, Kim lists the company she worked with as Blur Studios. Blur is a famous studio responsible for making many high-profile video game trailers. The company produced the Batman: Arkham Knight trailer, a Division trailer and the awesome Dishonored 2 trailer from E3. Based on its past work, it seems Blur will be making a new CGI trailer for Shadow of Mordor 2.
When can we expect to see this new trailer? Most likely, at this year’s E3 in June. WB Interactive will not be having their own stage presentation, so this will likely come during the Microsoft or Sony presentation to best maximize publicity.
The original Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor debuted back in September 2014 and has gone on to sell an impressive number of copies. Apparently the game has sold well enough that WB Interactive has pursued a sequel.
It should be noted that this isn’t a confirmed truth just yet. While it’s unlikely that Ms. Kim would make something like this up, we should all wait until WB Interactive makes a more formal statement before we allow the hype train to pull out of the station.
