Machinima launched a new trailer today for Street Fighter: Resurrection , the follow-up to 2014’s Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist live-action miniseries. Check it out below:
The new Street Fighter: Resurrection trailer showcases the sequel series’ modern, gritty feel, with Interpol agents, superweapons and guns mixed in among the Hadoukens and Sonic Booms.
Street Fighter: Resurrection is a four-episode live-action miniseries based on narrative elements from Street Fighter V . It will be Machinima’s first exclusive launch on go90 , Verizon’s “social entertainment” platform “built for the mobile-first generation.”
The events of Street Fighter: Resurrection occur ten years after those of Assassin’s Fist . Most pressing for our team of elite fighters is the return of Charlie Nash, long presumed dead and clearly a changed man. Nash is on an unknown mission and targeting Street Fighter champions, and Ryu and Ken must figure out where Nash’s loyalties lie. As the plot races towards a London showdown with the resurgent Shadaloo cartel, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
Street Fighter: Resurrection is produced by World Warrior Limited with Machinima Studios in association with Capcom . It launches this March 15 on go90 . Watch the first trailer for Street Fighter: Resurrection below:
