I watched the first four Game of Thrones season 5 episodes on a screener, to my regret. You probably watched them via the leaks. And it’ll still be a few more weeks before the show catches up to those first four episodes. Nevertheless, I think you should watch Game of Thrones season 5 anyway. And not just so HBO gets its due—who cares about that? These reasons are about you, baby.

5. Better Quality

First and most obvious reason to watch Game of Thrones season 5 even if you already watched the leaks: The quality is way better on broadcast. The screeners looked decent enough, but it wasn’t full HD by any means. The broadcast version already is. Game of Thrones is all about the details, and you will literally see those details better if you watch it on le televisión.

4. Cancels Out Binging

I am on the record as wishing I hadn’t watched the first four episodes (via screener, ye judgy judgitons!) It made everything run together, made the bad parts of the show stand out, and made the good parts fade into the background. Watching the show again, one hopes, can cancel out those negative qualities. The good bits will stand out again. It’s worth a try at least.

3. Keep That Memory Fresh

I don’t remember what happened in episode 3. Do you? You probably just remember what happened in the first four episodes altogether, undifferentiatedly. That’s certainly the case for me. If you’re worried about spoiling your friends, then watch the episode—that way, you’ll know what actually happened in it and won’t ruin the crazy stuff that happens in the fourth episodes.

2. Something To Do, I Guess

What else are you going to do on a Sunday night besides watch Game of Thrones season 5? Watch Mad Men? Get real!

1. Give HBO Its Due—Ha, Just Kidding

The Game of Thrones season 5 leak may or may not have actually hurt HBO, but hey. They threw about $5 million into each of these episodes. You may as well actually watch them for real. Not that it really matters—you either have a subscription or you don’t. Doesn’t make a difference if you watch it, except to your ‘lectricity bill. So don’t even worry about HBO. You do you. Watch Game of Thrones season 5 episodes again, because you’re going to watch them again sooner or later anyway. Or don’t. I don’t even care, man! What are you asking me for?
