Patrick Rothfuss, author of The Kingkiller Chronicle, ate enough tacos and drank enough absinthe to be more candid than normal about the upcoming, highly anticipated book three in The Kingkiller Chronicle series, currently titled The Doors of Stone - The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day Three. No, he didn’t announce an official release date for Kingkiller Chronicle Book 3, but he did tweet about the Book 3 plot, his writing process, the upcoming Kingkiller Chronicle movies, and Kvothe erotica.
The Kingkiller Chronicle Drunk Twitter: Book 3 Release Date, Plot Hints, and More!
After a couple drinks and a couple more tacos, Rothfuss was ready to field questions from his Twitter followers about The Kingkiller Chronicle Book 3 The Doors of Stone.
I just stood up. Is being dizzy & numb a superpower? If so, I have it in spades.
I will now answer questions about Book Three.

But the most interesting part of Patrick Rothfuss’ #TacoMonday Q&A about The Kingkiller Chronicle Book 3 was the long digression into Kvothe erotica. If the author of a book series writes their own slash fiction that makes it canonical, right?
"Bast," Kvothe said breathlessly, "Kiss me like I've never been kissed before!"
Bast leaned forward, his naked ch-- https://t.co/HqvNgiS49e

Rothfuss was also asked about the upcoming Kingkiller Chronicle TV show and movies, and whether or not it would have an effect on The Kingkiller Chronicle Book 3:
@PatrickRothfuss has knowing that you're going to see the world you've created through tv show/movies changed the way you're writing it any?
— Kendallinthewind (@ktpthomas) October 20, 2015
Nope. https://t.co/Kh05QJi3wZ
— Pat Rothfuss (@PatrickRothfuss) October 20, 2015
And since The Kingkiller Chronicle will supposedly end with Book 3 The Doors of Stone, Rothfuss talked a bit about his plans for the future of his writing career.
@PatrickRothfuss how many books do you want to write that isn't this one?
— Matthew Albarracin (@MattAlbar) October 20, 2015
Right now? Four. https://t.co/cosjN1Mc2z
— Pat Rothfuss (@PatrickRothfuss) October 20, 2015
Finally, Rothfuss had some advice for those wannabe writers out there tempted to eat tacos, drink absinthe, and become a great fantasy novelist:
I'd never do serious writing drunk. It requires too all of my craft and processor. https://t.co/Y0Zb9S8yjf

Despite the numerous questions answered during Pat Rothfuss’ #TacoMonday drunken Twitter Q&A, not much more has been revealed about The Kingkiller Chronicle Book 3. Still, it’s a fascinating look into the mind of one of today’s most beloved fantasy writers.
