In our previous Samsung Galaxy S7 report, we mentioned that the next-gen flagship smartphone from Samsung could be announced as early as January. However, now it looks like it will not be so soon after all.
According to Phone Arena, Samsung will hold its Samsung Unpacked 2016 event in Barcelona on Feb. 21. Historically, Samsung Unpacked is a special event held by the Korean giant just ahead of the Mobile World Conference. It's also the stage of choice for Samsung to unveil its latest flagship products. For 2016, we expect nothing different.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to run either an Exynos 7422, Exynos 8890, or Snapdragon 820 chipset. Reports also suggest the Galaxy S7 will feature a standard 5.2-inch screen variant with 3GB of RAM and a premium 5.8-inch screen variant with 4GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is also rumored to apply a form of Force Touch, dubbed ClearForce, have a 20-megapixel camera with RAW support. and a USB-Type C charging port.
Galaxy S7 includes the Exynos 7422, Exynos 8890 and/or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chips, 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch display models and 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S7 may also include a form of Force Touch, branded as ClearForce and a USB-Type C port.
