Nintendo held its 3DS focused Direct on Sept. 1 and part of it was new information on the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon games.
A new Alola Pokémon, Alola Rattata is now a Dark/Normal-type Pokémon to combat its natural enemy, Yungoos. They became nocturnal to avoid Yungoos.
UPDATE: The official Pokemon Company has uploaded the footage of Alola Rattata and the special Munchlax.
Alola Rattata will have the abilities Gluttony and Hustle.
We also got more information on Z-Moves that let Pokémon unleash specialized attacks that are determined by the type of attack. We learned at Gamescom that an Electric-type like Pikachu can use a Normal-type Z-move as long as it knows a Normal-type attack like Quick Attack.
The trailer shows a new Ghost-type Z-Move used by Gengar.
It was also announced that a special Munchlax will be distributed with the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon. This Munchlax will hold a new Z-Move exclusive to Snorlax that allows for a devastating Normal-type attack.
