A new trailer for Styx: Shards of Darkness is out this week, featuring a combination of game footage, cinematics and behind-the-scenes interviews. And our latest look at the upcoming stealth title should interest anyone hoping for more information on Styx: Shards of Darkness’ diminutive protagonist and/or curious about the character creation process at Cyanide Studio.
There’s a little something for everyone in this week’s Styx trailer. The five-minute video has a bit of new gameplay footage, though it’s certainly not abundant, alongside clips used in other Shards of Darkness trailers. But the real draw of Cyanide’s “Making of a Goblin” trailer is the developer commentary heard throughout the video; narration that offers some new insight into the game’s development. Members of Cyanide discuss a variety of subjects, including the struggles that come with building a new stealth franchise and the process of creating the series’ protagonist. Some of the information, like a rundown of Styx’s abilities, will be old news, but Cyanide also confirms the goblin will have new options at his disposal in Shards of Darkness.
