After months of rumors and no prior announcement, Nintendo has finally revealed the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection for the Switch. Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy in a single package.
According to Nintendo, Super Mario 3D All-Stars will enhance the visuals of all three games, support 16:9 aspect ratio, and increases resolution. All three games in the collection will also be compatible with two Joy-Con controllers. The collection also features a music player option that will allow fans to play specific songs from each game.
However, if you want to add Super Mario 3D All-Stars to your Switch collection, you'll need to act fast. The collection will launch on September 18 as a limited-time release, and it will only be available to purchase until March 2021. We aren't clear why Nintendo would choose to release the collection for a limited time, but we guess that they may choose to sell the enhanced versions of the games separately in the future.
It's also exciting news for Super Mario fans as they don't have to wait too long to get their hands on the collection. However, if you've been keeping up with leaks and rumors, you might have noticed that the collection is missing one of the rumored games. Some rumors suggested that the Super Mario 3D All-Stars bundle would also include the Switch port of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
During the Super Mario Bros-themed Nintendo Direct, the company also confirmed a new Game & Watch system that will release later this year. The Game & Watch system will also launch as a limited-time release. Nintendo also announced a Super Mario Bros. battle royale called Super Mario Bros. 35. The long-rumored Super Mario 3D World is also confirmed to receive a Switch port in 2021. Additional information on Super Mario 3D World will be shared later.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection is launching on September 18, only on Nintendo Switch.
