"Finally!" proclaim all of the Daisy fans everywhere. As just confirmed by Nintendo, a Daisy costume will be coming to Super Mario Maker as soon as tomorrow. Along with Daisy, Nintendo has already released a Yamamura pigeon costume for players to use.
In the above video, we see Mario transform into Daisy through the use of a question mark mushroom. One interesting thing to note is that Daisy's signature "taunt," or whatever you call her up-button move, is not her iconic "Hi, I'm Daisy" phrase. It's instead a weird little giggle thing.
To unlock Daisy, players will have to complete a new character-themed Event Course. The course will be available tomorrow, Jan. 15.
The second new costume, which is already available to play with, is Yamamura the pigeon. Yamamura is the master level designer who helps Mary O. learn all about Super Mario Maker. The pigeon even stars in his own comic line, which can be read right here. Unfortunately, the pigeon is not capable of flight, so don't get too excited that you'll be able to cheat your way through that one really hard course you just can't seem to beat.
To unlock Yamamura, players will have to complete the latest featured Event course.
So what do you think? Are you interested in playing as either Daisy or Yamamura? What other characters would you like to see get added in Super Mario Maker? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
