A new clip of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 , titled Out of the Shadows , was released at the Kids Choice Awards. Unfortunately, we still don’t know anything about the new Ninja Turtles movie plot except the normal ‘Save New York City’ bit. None of the new characters are pictured in the clip either: Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), and Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly) will all be introduced in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
The clip shows the Ninja Turtles using a garbage truck to chase down their enemies down the highway while doing tricks on motorcycles as Run-DMC’s “It’s Tricky” blasts in the background. Take a look:
The last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie loosely stuck to the team’s comic origins. Last year, Stephen Amell spoke with IGN about how Casey Jones will have a different story than fans are familiar with.
“He is not the Casey Jones that a lot of comic fans have come to know and love. He is a guy with a job that lives in New York and loves hockey. When things go awry, [and] when he goes through the normal methods of what someone would do when they’re [a] law-abiding citizen and he’s met with laughter and scorn… he decides to take things into his own hands,” the Arrow actor revealed.
Megan Fox will be back to reprise her role as April, a reporter and good friend of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo. The first full trailer, attached below, shows there may be some chemistry between Casey and April in the sequel. Will Arnett will also be back to play cameraman Vernon Fenwick. Johnny Knoxville (Leonardo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), and Noel Fisher (Donatello) will all return as voice actors.
Brian Tee will make his debut as The Shredder. After the Kids Choice Awards clip premiered, the actor posted a picture of The Shredder’s full get up on Twitter. Take a look:
