A new trailer has confirmed the release date for Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within Episode Two, titled The Pact. Based on the video above, it looks like Batman will take on a few new faces this time around.
As the trailer shows, Batman/Bruce Wayne is driven further into the world of John Doe after the events of the first episode. This means you’ll be meeting John’s friends, including Dr. Harley Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn. If the closing seconds of the trailer are any indication, another foe will make an appearance: Bane. This hasn’t been confirmed but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bane as part of Telltale’s Batman universe.
Interestingly, it also looks like some Bruce Wayne sequences won’t feature the billionaire in a suit or board room. At the 54-second mark in the trailer, we see Bruce in a leather jacket with his face covered by a bandana. He has a road flare over his head, and seems to participate in the rioting and looting around him in the streets of Gotham. This is likely a way to get John Doe to keep being your friend instead of driving him to turn into the Joker.
The Pact releases Oct. 3 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices. The first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within also releases for iOS and Android devices the same day, as technical difficulties delayed the mobile versions from releasing alongside other platforms in August. Telltale also confirmed all future episodes of The Enemy Within will release simultaneously on all platforms moving forward.
If you want to get a physical disc for Batman: The Enemy Within, copies will be available starting on Oct. 3 as well. Physical versions are only available for PS4 and Xbox One, and come pre-packaged with the Season Pass. This means all future episodes can be downloaded for free once they are released.
