“Rhythm violence” game Thumper is headed to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in 2017, developer Drool announced on Friday morning, with new features utilizing each platform’s particular strengths. And that’s just the start of this week’s Thumper news.

According to a new press release, Thumper will be one of many 2017 releases to taking full advantage of the Switch’s HD Rumble technology. Drool says players will “feel every pulsing hit, scrape, pound, and crash”, thanks to the admittedly impressive rumble engines, and we’d be lying if we said the prospect of Thumper on-the-go wasn’t an enticing thought. Unfortunately, the studio isn’t ready to discuss its plans for the Xbox One port, other than to confirm it’ll arrive in Q2 as well, but Drools says we’ll hear more about that version “soon.”

The studio also announced a new limited edition Thumper soundtrack on Friday. The physical release includes a red vinyl album featuring all the Brian Gibson cuts you fell in love with, and pre-orders are available at Thrill Jockey. Drool also confirmed Thumper will be one of the dozens (maybe hundreds) of games being shown at PAX East 2017 this weekend.

For a closer look at Thumper, take a few minutes to check out the game’s launch trailer. Then head down to the comments and let us know if you’re looking forward to playing Thumper when the game heads to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch later this year.

Thumper is available on PS4 and PC and makes the jump to Switch and Xbox One in Q2 2017.
