Both Kanye West and Rihanna have dropped exclusive albums on Tidal, giving Jay Z music streaming service bursts of success. With Ariana Grande as a special guest, Saturday Night Live took the opportunity to poke fun at Tidal with a hilarious skit. Playing an intern, Ariana Grande is forced to intervene when various streams go down. After a failed systems check when the power goes out, the Britney Spears stream go down. Next, Grande filled in for Shakira, Rihanna, Celine Dion and, last but not least, Whitney Houston.
Ariana Grande hasn’t been shy to show off her impersonating chops. Earlier this year, Grande gave us Britney Spears singing “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on Jimmy Fallon’s classic “Wheel of Musical Impressions.” The 22-year old pop singer also busted out a flawless imitation of Christina Aguilera. She also put a spin on The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” as Celine Dion.
This isn't the first time SNL has done this skit. In 2012, Pandora went down and Bruno Mars was asked to save the day.
