There is a new activity in Diablo Immortal that lets you just sit back and catch some fish.
It’s Time to Go Fishing
If you want to start fishing in Diablo Immortal, you must be at Level 43. Once you’ve got that out of the way, head to Bilefen and you’ll be given the Great Pastime quest. Completing this introductory quest allows you to start fishing in the Ashworld Cemetery, Bilefen, and Frozen Tundra.
Before you begin catching fish, you must pay the Fisher a visit so that you can purchase some bait. While there’s no limit to how many bait you can buy, you can only hold 99 of them at a time.
Equipped with your rod and with bait in tow, you can now start fishing by heading to a safe spot notated by a fish icon on the map. Once you’ve selected your favorite spot, all of your skill buttons will be replaced with a specific button to cast your line.
When the bobber is on the water, all you have to do is wait until the fish start nibbling at it. There’s a timer that appears on the screen, displaying white, blue, and gold-colored fish icons.
The timer will slowly fill up and pass by the icons just mentioned. The longer the bobber stays on water, there’s a good chance that you’ll reel in rare fish. However, don’t let it rest for too long or the fish will get bored and swim away. Timing is key if you want to get the best fish out there. When you’re done, head to the nearest Fisher to exchange your caught fish for rewards.
Now, there are five categories of fish: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic. The rarer the fish, the better the rewards you can get, including new aesthetics for your fishing rod, as well as items of random rarity.
There are currently 40 species of fish in Diablo Immortal, so there’s plenty for you to catch until the developers add more in future updates.
Globe Changes
Aside from the addition of the fishing system, the latest update for Diablo Immortal also makes a fundamental change to Frenzied and Charged Core combat globes. These globes now drop during any combat instance in the game.
A Frenzied Globe increases your critical hit chance to 100% for 10 seconds. On the other hand, a Charged Core immediately makes your ultimate ability usable after being picked up.
So, what can you say about the new fishing system in Diablo Immortal?
