There’s a new multiplayer mode coming to Titanfall 2, and you can earn your way into it by chowing down on Buffalo Wild Wings and Mountain Dew. Don’t worry though, everyone will still be able to play without having to do either of these things.
As confirmed by Eurogamer, a new one-on-one multiplayer mode will be coming to Titanfall 2. Called Coliseum, the mode will require players to spend tickets to gain entry. While tickets can be earned through playing normally, bonus tickets will come to customers of the neon-green soda and Blazin’ wings.
"Players will earn Coliseum tickets by playing multiplayer," an EA spokesperson told Eurogamer. "The Mountain Dew and Buffalo Wild Wings promotions are just another way for fans to get tickets to Coliseum mode."
If you want to see Coliseum mode in action, check out the trailer above. The new game mode can be spotted right at the end of the trailer, starting around the 1:40 mark. It looks like the Coliseum is just a flat surface with nothing on it, and the mode will pit one pilot against another in a test of pure Titanfall skill.
Titanfall 2 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC on Oct. 28.
So what do you think? Will you be hitting up your nearest Buffalo Wild Wings or corner store to stock up on Mountain Dew? Will you just get the tickets you can while playing regularly? Are you even going to bother with the stripped down game mode at all? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
