There hasn’t been a good skating game for a while now, but that might change soon. Some of the best Tony Hawk games are being remade for this generation. If you don’t know, or have been living under a rock for the last few weeks, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 are being remade by Vicarious Visions, the same development company that was behind Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be published by Activision, which is expected as the IP is owned by them.
Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be released together and cannot be bought separately. Both the games will launch on September 5 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can also pre-order the game on the Xbox Store and Epic Game Store. Pre-orders for PS4 should be available soon. The remade Tony Hawk bundle only costs $40 and will also come with some pre-order bonuses. You will get access to the demo of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater's Warehouse level. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait that long to play the demo though, as it will be available to play on August 14.
The game is available in three types of Editions ranging from $40 to $100.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Standard Edition can be purchased for only $40. This will give you the base game with no extra content. However, pre-order rewards will be available. The Standard Edition should be the go-to choice for players that are only interested in playing the game and don’t care about extra cosmetics.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Deluxe Edition can be yours for only $50. This one is slightly more expensive, but it does make for the extra price by giving some extra digital items. The Deluxe Edition will come with the base game and "The Ripper" skater from Powell-Peralta. Some cool outfits for Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen, and Steve Caballero will also be given, and Create-A-Skater mode will get some unique Retro content.
Lastly, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Collector’s Edition is a must-buy for the hard-core Tony Hawk fans. This edition costs a whopping $100. You will get the base game, all the deluxe edition’s digital content, pre-order bonus, and a limited-edition Birdhouse skateboard deck. The deck will also have a printed autograph from the Birdman himself. You are going to have to wait for the Collector’s Edition though, as currently it’s sold out from every major retailer.
