A new trailer for Umbrella Corps is out now, days before the multiplayer shooter’s next public appearance at PAX East 2016, and our latest glimpse of Capcom’s next release offers an extensive preview of a new Antarctic map.
Just in case this is your first exposure to the game, Umbrella Corps is an upcoming Resident Evil spin-off that ditches the survival-based gameplay of the main franchise in favor of a team-based multiplayer shooter. Of course, there are still plenty of zombies shambling around, which can be used against your opponents with a bit of planning and/or proper aim. But Umbrella Corps is going to feel much more akin to Counter-Strike than anything from the Resident Evil franchise.
In the game’s latest trailer, we get our first look at a new map from the launch build of Umbrella Corps, an abandoned military base that longtime RE fans original visited in Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Obviously, the harsh antarctic climate has been less than kind to the abandoned facility, weathering many of the instruments left behind and exposing massive holes in the walls. In one case, it looks like an entire section of a room simply fell into a gap between glaciers.

Umbrella Corps is in development for PC and PS4. The game debuts June 21.
