At the end of 2015, Naughty Dog pushed the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End release date from March 18 to April 26. Now, PlayStation Blog once again revealed that the release date has been delayed once again to a May 10 global launch.
"In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time," announced SCEA president Shawyn Layden.
"Therefore, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has a new worldwide release date of May 10, 2016."
We totally understand the necessity for the final installment of the legendary Uncharted franchise to be nothing short of perfection. That said, every delay to the game's highly anticipated launch only tires the nerves of weary fans.
That said, Naughty Dog will be conducting an open beta Uncharted 4 multiplayer stress test this coming weekend that, according to PlayStation Lifestyle, does not require PlayStation Plus. The beta test is expected to run from 12 p.m. EST on Friday, March 4, until March 6.
“Please understand that this is strictly a stress test and by no means represents what the final multiplayer experience is going to be – we still have a lot to share between this stress test and launch,” stressed Lead Game Designer Robert Cogburn.
