The first major patch for the battle royale shooter Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is now available. The January 2023 Update introduces new content, including the Huntsman Rifle and some in-game medals.
Time to Hunt
The Hunting Rifle is the newest weapon in Bloodhunt. It is more powerful than the Marksman Rifle but it has some downsides, namely that it has a longer reload speed and it only has an iron sight. The Hunting Rifle might not be the best gun when picking enemies apart from extremely long distances because of the latter. However, if you have impeccable aim without relying on the iron sight, then by all means, use it to your heart’s content.
Anyway, what makes the Hunting Rifle special is its bleed mechanic. Basically, every time you hit an enemy with it, their wounds will expand, causing them to bleed over time. What’s more, you can actually see the bleeding animation, making it easier for you to take them down for good with follow-up shots.
Medal for Your Efforts
The January 2023 Update also encourages you to be more active by rewarding you with in-game medals. These medals will pop up in the middle of the screen, letting you know that you’ve been awarded for your accomplishment.
There are certain criteria that have to be met to get the medals. For example, Blood Frenzy is a medal awarded to you whenever you kill 20 or more enemies without dying.
