A new fighter is preparing to join the roster of Granblue Fantasy: Versus . It is Vira, Albion Citadel’s current Lord Commander, coming to the game this December.
Vira was raised in the fortress city and grew up with Katalina. In fact, Vira not only loved Katalina as a sister but also worshipped her as an idol. For those not familiar, Katalina is part of the game’s base roster with a fighting style involving skillful swordplay and a magic blade.
Following in the footsteps of Katalina, Vira rose to the ranks as a blademaster and tactician. During that time as well, her adoration of Katalina became a deadly obsession. That happened during the fight for the title of Lord Commander, as Katalina made sure to lose to Vira before leaving the Albion Citadel.
Additional information on Vira, like her combat style, is set to be revealed before she goes live. Vira joins the game as part of the Character Pass 3.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a fighting game where the goal is to eliminate the opponent through the use of different attacks and empty the life bar of their character. Characters have what’s known as “Skybound Arts,” which correspond to skills that the character can use in the main Granblue Fantasy game.
The game also offers an RPG Mode which has a standalone storyline. Players take on the role of Gran and journey across different areas in the fighting game. Players have to discover the secret behind the mysterious force that surrounds all the violence and chaos.
Characters
When it was first released, Granblue Fantasy: Versus introduced a roster of 12 characters. Additional characters were introduced through a Character Pass. Character Pass, 1 for example, brought to the game five new characters.
Character Pass 3, meanwhile, had six new characters. One of these was Anre released back in January this year. While he is not really into fighting, his skill when it comes to the spear continues to be unmatched. Abilities include the close-range attack Spiral Spear along with the long-range attack Rakshasa. Then in April, there was Eustace. He uses a weapon known as the Flamek, which can shoot lightning projectiles. It can also use a Slow Kill projectile that bounces off the ground.
