The Walking Dead fans are eager to see Negan’s introduction in the show’s season 6 return. One fan has taken it upon themselves to create a new teaser for The Walking Dead season 6, according to ComicBook.com. The site claims the video is “100 percent” fake and not from AMC, but the clip is pretty true to Negan. Watch the video below to see the fake teaser.
We won’t get into heavy spoilers here, but Negan’s introduction in the franchise might be a toned-down version of the character. Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan spoke to Entertainment Weekly back in December about taking on the role of Negan. The biggest challenge will be capturing Negan’s cruelty and foul language. Negan burns people who betray him with hot irons; there are multiple characters in the comics who were left permanently disfigured by the burns.
Morgan didn’t comment about his character’s potential actions and storyline on the show, but he did tell Entertainment Weekly AMC is working on Negan’s “colorful” language.
“Look, it’s a speed bump. I’m not going to say it’s an issue because they’re working on it. We’re going to push AMC — the plan is to push them as far as they can because it’s who Negan is. He uses some colorful language,” Morgan said. “And I use some colorful language. And reading the comic, it’s important. So we’ll see where that lands. It’s our intention that this character is going to leap off the pages of the comic book. It’s very important that that’s who it is. Some of the characters there’s much more leeway, but Negan is a guy that you want to keep as true as possible, and that would be how I want to play him as well.”
The Walking Dead season 6 returns Feb. 14 on AMC.
