You won’t get any more fake deaths in The Walking Dead season 6 from here on out. Be warned that if your favorite character dies, they are most definitely a goner, according to Chandler Riggs.
Riggs, who plays Carl, told The Huffington Post the show is done teasing fans with potential deaths. The Walking Dead exhausted their supply of fakeouts with Glenn this season, with the infamous dumpster scene and the moment during the Alexandria takeover when the walkers nearly manage to eat him alive.
However, Riggs assured The Huffington Post that The Walking Dead season 6 has a lot more shocking moments in store for fans.
“There's not going to be another fake-out, like you believe a character is dead and they come back. And it’s like, ‘Just kidding!’ That’s not going to happen again,” Riggs said . “No way. I do think there are some big and exciting moments, and they're going to shock a lot of people.”
You can definitely count on comic book villain Negan’s introduction to the show to be amongst the exciting moments. Negan is one of the worst things to happen to Rick, and many people die because of their feud. Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick, recently told TV Inside r how he felt about Negan after learning more about the character.
“The Governor was magnificent and David did a beautiful job playing him,” Lincoln told TV Insider. “But Negan is horrific. He is this incredible tyrant and this very charismatic, funny, brutal beyond words sociopath. I'm interested in the relationship between Negan and Carl and Carl and Rick. There's a very complicated, extraordinary psychology between those characters. I'm just thrilled that we are getting to a place where it feels very deep, dark, thrilling and dangerous.”
We won’t spoil things for you here, but Negan’s pretty brutal. He’s also intelligent, cunning and knows how to exploit the weaknesses of others to his advantage. Negan presents a challenge that Rick and the other Alexandria residents didn’t prepare for. Watch new episodes from The Walking Dead season 6 Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
