The Walking Dead season 6 might have a few major character deaths planned before the finale. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, even said so in The Walking Dead midseason return teaser not everyone makes it out alive. There are some characters at risk at this point in The Walking Dead season 6 because they’re close to their comic book storylines. Others just seem like their time is running out on the show. Below are seven characters that are more at risk to die than others. The Walking Dead season 6 returns at 9 p.m. Feb. 14 on AMC.
[WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD]
Glenn
In the comics, Negan kills Glenn by bashing his skull in with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire named Lucille. It’s horrible. If it happens on the show, I will be devastated. Negan kills Glenn in front of Rick, a pregnant Maggie , Carl, Sophia and Michonne in the comics to show his power. Glenn’s death starts a war. It’s possible Glenn will have the same fate in the series. The big Glenn death-fakeout might in the beginning of The Walking Dead season 6 might have been a set up to make viewers believe Glenn is safe. Don’t let AMC fool you! Glenn is not safe!
Daryl
I have this feeling in my stomach that The Walking Dead season 6 will be the last for Norman Reedus. Rick and Daryl’s adventure together makes me nervous. Negan’s arrival to the series the perfect set up to take out a character that appears to be untouchable. Bad things happen to Daryl all the time, but he miraculously finds his way back to safety. The show has switched death scenes with other characters before. In the comics, Tyreese is executed in front of the prison, not Herschel. They could easily give Daryl Glenn’s comic book death. I hope I’m wrong.
Sasha
Abraham might get Sasha killed because he can’t keep his mouth shut. AMC released the first four minutes of The Walking Dead season 6 return premiere that showed one of Negan’s men aiming a gun at Sasha and Abraham. The guy looks like he’s ready to kill someone and my money’s on Sasha. Killing Sasha in front of Abraham would be a way to send a message to Rick’s group about threat they are dealing with.
Abraham
Abraham is not safe in The Walking Dead season 6. He’s not going at being diplomatic in situations. He’s too blunt and says whatever comes to mind. He might survive the first encounter with Negan’s Saviors, but the odds of him making it out of a second encounter are pretty low. In the comics, Abraham didn’t encounter Negan’s Saviors until they ambushed him. They killed Abraham because Rick killed some of the Saviors. Abraham’s death was a big surprise for comic book readers since it occurred shortly after Glenn died.
Jessie/Sam
Rick’s love interest is SO dead. There’s no way she makes if out of the walker heard alive. Sam’s outburst will cause the walkers to swarm him and she’ll try to save him. The walkers will then swarm Jessie, giving Ron another reason to hate Rick. Jessie’s death in the comic books is a pivotal moment in Rick’s storyline. It helps Rick realize if he wants to survive in this world he needs people. It will be infuriating if she survives because they pulled the scene where the group exits the house right from the comics. Rick has such a powerful reaction to Jessie’s death , it would be a waste to keep her around. There’s no way Jessie would want to be around Rick if he let Sam and Ron die.
Side note: Richonne shippers won’t care about Jessie death. Prepare for yourself for a Twitter timeline filled with “YAAAAAS! RICHONNE WAS MEANT TO BE! #Richonne4Lyfe.”
Plot twist: Eugene
This prediction comes out of nowhere, but it’s possible Eugene might not make it to the end of The Walking Dead season 6. Eugene’s been struggling with cowardice since he was introduced in the TV series. He’s trying to adjust to the world, but he can’t let go of his fear. I imagine Eugene doing something selfless in The Walking Dead season 6 to save the people he cares about. It would be a moment of redemption for Eugene for all the times he may have fallen short.
