The second half of The Walking Dead season 6 will have a lot more Daryl Dixon. Not sure yet if that’s a good or bad thing for the character. Showrunner Scott Gimple recently told TV insider Rick and Daryl will go on a “little adventure” during the second half on the season.

“We have a little Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid–type thing going on.” Andrew Lincoln added during the interview with TV Insider . “It’s safe to say that we get to do the tango, much to everyone’s excitement.”

Rick and Daryl didn’t share much screen time in the first half of The Walking Dead season 6, but that won’t be the case in the midseason return. Gimple told TV insider they’ve “put Norman [Reedus] through his paces” and there’s a scary “shift” in his character. A shift in Daryl’s persona might make fans nervous, especially with the arrival of villain Negan.

It that doesn’t make you nervous, Reedus recently told Empire (via ComicBook ) there will be a major fight in the second half of the show with Negan. It’s unclear what leads to the fight, but a fight with Negan will likely end in loss for Rick’s crew this time around.

"There's going to be a fight. I won't tell you who, when, and where, but I can promise you a fight," Reedus told Empire. "All of us are about to clash with that motherf**ker. There's a lot of turmoil in the second half of Season 6."

The Walking Dead season 6 returns to AMC on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m.
