The Walking Dead Season 6 is building up to the big Negan arrival, but comic book fans shouldn’t assume the show will replicate his iconic introduction.

Glenn actor Steven Yeun explained to Entertainment Weekly the show will tell its own story when it comes to Negan. He knows people are anticipating Negan bashing Glenn’s skull in with Lucille, but the show isn’t necessarily going to replicate the scene.
“I know people are going to always go, ‘Negan kills Glenn in the comics,’ but rest assured that we don’t necessarily do what’s in the comics,” Yeun said. “There’s a clear divide in the way we tell a story on television, and the way that story is told in the comics, because it has to be. And everybody will have to see what happens, but we definitely tell our story in the way that television should be told.”
Glenn’s not the only one in danger of meeting Lucille. Daryl might be in trouble, since he was the one who used an RPG to blow up a group of the Saviors. Maggie and Carol were also responsible for burning some Saviors alive in their safehouse.
Still, this season of The Walking Dead has been pretty Glenn-heavy. We had the first half of the season where we didn’t know if he was alive underneath the dumpster, or a dead man walking towards Alexandria. We’ve also seen Glenn forced to do things he’s never done before, like killing humans instead of walkers.
There’s only three episodes left until The Walking Dead Season 6 finale. Be sure to catch up on the episodes you missed on AMC’s official site here .
