The Walking Dead Season 7 episode 4 begins with tension between Michonne and Rick, and not the sexy kind.
The episode opens with Michonne and Rick in bed, and they’re not happy. Michonne gets up to leave the house as Rick watches on. Michonne is upset and he knows it.
Negan arrives unexpectedly to Alexandria a week early. Negan is continuing to mess with Rick’s head to show him he has the power. Rick tries to give them half of what they have, but Negan wants more of their things. Negan has his men scavenge the homes in Alexandria, taking their mattresses, furniture and guns. A broken Daryl helps Negan’s men load the truck, never saying a word to Rick or anyone.
Carl pulls a gun on one of the Saviors for taking most of the medicine in Alexandria. Rick tries to calm his son down, but Negan steps in. Negan forces Carl to give up the gun reminding him of the power he has over him, too. Rick avoids making eye contact with Carl and Negan. Carl looks on extremely disappointed in his father.
Negan eventually finds out there are two guns missing in Alexandria’s arsenal. Rick asks the residents of Alexandria to give them up out of fear Negan might kill one of their own. Rick and the others find the two guns hidden in Spencer’s home. Rick warns Spencer never to steal from the residents of Alexandria again.
Speaking of Spencer, he didn’t waste time trying to turn Rosita against Rick. Rosita went crazy on a walkers in the forest trying to get a gun. Rosita is pissed when she finds out Spencer was lying to her about the weapons he kept for himself. Rosita secretly meets with Eugene and decides it’s time she fights. She asks Eugene to make her a bullet.
Negan says goodbye to the group. He yells out a few obscenities before making Rick thank him for letting them keep their food. Negan then looks at him and says, “I just slipped my dick down your throat and you just thanked me for doing it.” Negan the Savage walks away twirling Lucille with a smile on his face.
We eventually see Rick and Michonne reunite after the tense meeting with Negan. Rick tries to explain to Michonne they must cooperate or risk losing more lives. Rick pleads with Michonne to understand, but she wants to fight. Rick then admits he knows Judith isn’t his daughter. Rick knows she’s Shane’s daughter, but doesn’t care. He’s accepted Judith is his own and Michonne should accept their new life under Negan’s control. Michonne tells Rick she’ll try to accept this life, but then she finds out Negan burned their mattresses. Michonne is pissed.
The big takeaway? No one is getting laid in Alexandria. Not Spencer. Not Rick. Not anyone. The Walking Dead Season 7 airs at 9 p.m. on AMC
