A new expansion is arriving this April in Warframe. The Angels of the Zariman expansion has players go on a journey to return to the legendary and fabled Zariman Ten Zero. It also introduces a new single-player quest that continues the story from The New War.
This upcoming expansion offers players a new chapter in its Cinematic Quest saga albeit one that’s a bit smaller. There will be more than 30 hours of narrative-driven single-player cinematic gameplay.
In addition to the new quest, the expansion also brings a lot of new content:
- A new Warframe
- Three new playable mission types
- A social hubtown
- Customizable apartments for players aboard the Zariman Ten Zero
- Customizations alongside quality-of-life improvements
Welcome to the Game
The new expansion is also introducing Void Shell Skins for the very first time. This is going to increase customization in the game since it allows players to change textures on materials freely and apply a tint to their Warframe. There are two ways to get the skin: earning in-game or buying.
In addition, Evolving Weapons are making their official debut in the game. These weapons can be bought from an NPC aboard the Zariman. The weapons evolve based on challenges completed in-game, and players can unlock various aspects of these weapons as they progress.
New Mission Types
Players able to finish the Angels of the Zariman quest get access to new mission types. These are Void Flood, Void Cascade, and Void Armageddon.
Void Flood, in particular, is an endless mission type where players need to collect Void Orbs to get Void Energy which can then be used to seal Void Fractures. Void Orbs can be picked up from fallen enemies or found in clusters that spawn mid-air for the parkour-inclined.
Anniversary
This month marks the ninth anniversary of Warframe. There’s a lot to enjoy like new content, some free gear, and even a new entry to the Prime Access program. For example, players who log in during the anniversary celebration get the Wisp Dex Skin for free.
