Warframe players were having a tough time protecting the Defense Target at The Undercroft, which prompted developer Digital Extremes (DE) to launch Hotfix 33.0.4, now available on all platforms.
The Undercroft was introduced as part of Warframe: The Duviri Paradox, and it is an area where Dominus Thrax's influence is weak, allowing players to fight in their preferred Warframes. That said, DE made notable adjustments to defense missions in The Undercroft to alleviate concerns about the Defense Target getting destroyed way too easily.
In Hotfix 33.0.4, the Defense Target's level now scales between stages. This occurs alongside enemy level scaling between stages up to level 50, after which, the scaling rate gradually decreases to maintain a level of challenge in The Circuit. Furthermore, the company reduced the damage the Defense Target takes from Thrax units.
While the tweaks to defense missions in The Undercroft are appreciated, the bug that occasionally prevents Defense Targets from spawning as intended still remains a problem to this day. Hopefully, the company can resolve this soon.
