It was four years ago to this day when Warhammer: Vermintide 2 was released. Since then, the game has had a lot of updates and free expansions. There are some events available for players to enjoy as part of the fourth-anniversary celebration.
In a statement, developer Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund revealed that they are proud not only with what they’ve added to the industry but also being part of the Warhammer universe. He added that a lot is being planned for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 this year.
As part of the celebration, the game is currently available on Steam at 80% off until March 22. This is good news for those who want to try the game.
Anniversary Events
Here are some of the events happening as part of the celebration:
- Developer Stream
- This Friday, Community Manager Asqhy is giving players a peek into what’s arriving in the upcoming Quality of Life update.
- Live on all platforms
- The 4-Year Anniversary runs across all platforms from March 8 to March 21.
- All future anniversaries are going to happen on all platforms at the same time.
- A Quiet Drink
- Follow the heroes out on the town in search of the famous Bugman’s XXXXXX.
- Just hope that Skaven and Rotbloods won’t stir up too much trouble.
- Quality of Life Update
- The new update drops March 15.
- It’s going to have features inspired by some of the players’ favorite mods.
- There are also new Premium Cosmetics along with more new content.

- Join some of the Content Creators as they celebrate the game’s fourth anniversary:

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a co-op-focused action game with a first-person perspective. It's set in the Warhammer universe with players needing to fight against the Chaos army and Skaven. Players choose from five different characters with each divided into 15 different careers. Upon finishing missions, players get rewards through a randomized loot system. The base game offers 13 missions, more than 20 enemy types, and at least 50 weapons. New content is also added through expansions, the most popular being Chaos Wastes, which has a larger gameplay area versus the original game.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One. and Xbox Series X/S.
