Tim Cook is expected to unveil a 4-inch iPhone SE, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and new Apple Watch Bands at the ‘Let Us Loop You In’ event on Monday, March 21. The Apple event begins in Cupertino at 10 a.m., which is 1 p.m for anyone on the East Coast. Apple will livestream the event directly from their website.
iPhone SE
Originally dubbed the iPhone 6c, the now iPhone SE was initially speculated to be more like a remake of the iPhone 5s. Now, the 4-inch iPhone appears to be nearly identical to the iPhone 6s in design except for two differences: the iPhone SE will not get 3D touch and it’s, of course, significantly smaller. The iPhone SE will get a 12-megapixel iSight camera with Live Photo support, NFC for Apple Pay, and an A9 chip.
iPad Pro
The Apple event will also bring a smaller version of the iPad Pro. The 9.7-inch tablet will be nearly identical to its ‘Pro’ predecessor with only a difference in camera specs. Instead of the iPad Pro’s 8 MP iSight Camera, the 9.7-inch version will get a 12 MP with 4K recording. Like the iPad Pro, the next-generation model will get both Smart accessories, keyboard and pencil, designed for its smaller size. The tablet will also have a slightly brighter display. The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro will not replace the iPad Air line. It was originally thought Apple’s newest iPad would be the third generation iPad Air 3..
Apple Watch
Apple is refreshing the Apple Watch Sports bands, offering a bunch of new colors and designs. One of them will be a space black version of the Milanese Loop. Also expect a new set of NATO-style Nylon bands. Apple may also launch more band options for its line with Hermes, and it’s possible Tim Cook could announce additional partnerships.
