Watch Dogs 2 Human Conditions is the title's second major DLC and will arrive Feb. 21 on the PS4. According to Ubisoft, the Human Conditions DLC is the biggest content addition yet, offering an extra three DedSec operations and Elite Co-op challenge that promises to challenge the players.
Last week, PlayStation blog invited Ubisoft producer Fabian Salomon and Watch Dogs 2 scriptwriter Ethan Petty to share some more details about the upcoming Human Conditions update, including the story, the kind of enemies we'll face, as well as new gameplay elements.
In a nutshell, the Watch Dogs 2 Human Conditions DLC expands upon the game's main story involving DedSec's mission to take on more hacktivist issues. DedSec wishes to fight back against oppression while also spreading its own notoriety and gain followers. That said, Petty warns the DLC is better experienced if players have spent a couple hours to become more familiar with some of the key characters within the main game.
In Human Conditions, players will have to challenge the high-tech securities of several corporations as well as the Bratva. To face the new threats, Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney from the original Watch Dogs came to DedSec's aid. What's more, the new Human Conditions DLC promises to bring Jordi into the mix as well.
"Jordi is a creature of chaos and he brings that with him," Petty said. "I think it’s pretty clear he’s never going to get a membership badge, but his goals may temporarily align with theirs. They just need to stay out of his scope."
As for new gameplay elements, Salomon simply teased that features like drone navigation, net hack or VR puzzles will be further explored in different ways. One particularly interesting element is a new enemy archetype known as the Jammer. The Jammer wears a device capable of disabling hackable objects and opportunity within a limited range around himself. This will force players to adapt and change strategies.
"Of course, Marcus has different ways to counter the Jammer," Salomon teased, "but I’ll let you discover them by yourself!"
