The launch trailer for Watch Dogs 2 is out now, less than a week before the game heads to PS4 and Xbox One, giving fans a quick explanation of protagonist Marcus Holloway’s story. The new Watch Dogs 2 trailer also serves as a pleasant reminder that the next addition to the series won’t look, play or sound anything like its predecessor.
As you’d expect, the new Watch Dogs 2 trailer includes brief looks at a variety of activities from Ubisoft’s next open-world title, including the device hacking that forms the backbone of the Watch Dogs experience. We also get some background information on Marcus Holloway, who replaces the least interesting (or likable) protagonist in gaming history, and a basic understanding of why he’s joined up with DedSec. And the publisher takes plenty of opportunities to remind players that there’s going to be a lot more action in Watch Dogs 2 than was featured in the series’ first game.
