The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards begins tonight! Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2016 Emmys live on ABC, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. EDT, 5 p.m. PDT, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. But if you won't be by a TV tonight, you can watch the awaard show online via live stream.

The 2016 Emmy Awards live stream will be available on ABC.com starting at 8 p.m. EDT for cable subscribers. The live stream will also be available to mobile users via the ABC app via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Amazon Apps. Once again, you'll need your cable provider log-in to access the stream.

TV diehards can also catch more action backstage via the Backstage LIVE! interactive live stream on the official Emmys website. Backstage LIVE! will bring you all the excitement from 15 different cameras on the red carpet, on Kimmel, in the audience, by the trophy table, in the press room, and several more backstage. Backstage LIVE! begins 6 p.m. EDT, 3 p.m. PDT.

Once again, Game of Thrones is poised to take home the most awards, leading with a total of 23 Emmy nominations. However, surprises this year could upset the HBO powerhouse in some categories. The Americans, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Homeland, House of Cards and Mr. Robot will challenge Game of Thrones in the Drama Series category.

Another show to look out for in the Emmys race is The People v. O.J. Simpson. The show on FX is up for 22 awards, including Sarah Paulson for best actress in a limited series for her role as prosecutor Marcia Clark.
