Xur is back, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found waiting in The Reef
The Dawning is over and yesterday’s update from the Destiny team wasn’t exactly the sort of thing to leave inspire a weekend hunting minions of the Darkness. But it’s hard not to be excited when the Agent of the Nine returns to The Tower (or Reef) each and every Friday morning. Sure, many Destiny: Rise Of Iron players already have the gear he’s selling. But the countdown to Xur’s arrival fills many of us with the same excitement you get just before opening a Hearthstone pack. The contents might disappoint you. But it could also be the five minutes that makes your whole day. Maybe even the weekend.
Last week was one of those week’s when the excitement ended shortly after we got a look at Xur’s inventory. A few players may have celebrated their latest opportunity to buy the Monte Carlo. But there can’t be many that players left who want/need the Helm of Inmost Light, Young Ahamkara’s Spine or Light Beyond but don’t already own them. They’ve all appeared in Xur’s inventory countless times over the last few years. The question is: Will this week’s visit from the Agent of the Nine prove to be any more fruitful for the average Destiny player?
Here’s everything Xur is selling the Destiny community Jan. 13 - 15:
Empyrean Bellicose
- Defense: 350
- Intellect: 43
- Discipline: 41
Young Ahamkara's Spine
- Defense: 350
- Intellect: 35
- Discipline: 39
Voidfang Vestments
- Defense: 350
- Discipline: 105
Bad Juju
- Attack: 350
- Magazine: 24
Legacy Engram - Special Weapon
Exotic Shard
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks! And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with purple and blue contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles. Unfortunately, for those who'd already grown accustomed to seeing them in Xur's inventory, the Agent of the Nine is no longer selling weapon ornaments to the Destiny community.
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
