X-Men: Apocalypse might feature Wolverine after all. Empire magazine features an image of William Stryker a.k.a. the head of the Weapon X that gave Wolverine with adamantium skeleton and claws. Stryker was briefly seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past , but he appears to be a key player to in the upcoming movie.

According to Empire ’s description (via CBR ), Stryker kidnaps some of the X-Men to interrogate them about Magneto’s whereabouts. Magneto is one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen along with Psylocke, Angel and Storm. The interesting part of Stryker’s description is that the X-Men are taken to the Weapon X facility. Empire asked X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer is if fans would see Wolverine in the facility as well.

"As a central character, [Wolverine] didn't fit into this particular story," Singer told Empire.

Singer’s response is technically not a “no” to a possible Wolverine cameo. Actor Hugh Jackman only has one more Wolverine movie left in his contract , so it’s possible we’ll see him in X-Men: Apocalypse .

X-Men: Apocalypse is slated to hit theaters May 27.
