After months of speculation, the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse confirms Wolverine will make a cameo in the upcoming movie. It also appears the film will most revolve around Mystique as she gathers Professor X’s young mutants to help fight the titular villain.
In the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer, Mystique is seen recruiting mutants to help fight. What’s more interesting is Professor X is nowhere to be found, which could mean Apocalypse might’ve kidnapped him. Whatever the case, the young mutants look up to Mystique and she feels it’s her responsibility to teach them how to fight. Check out the final X-Men: Apocalypse trailer in the video below.
Apocalypse seems to be causing chaos for the sake of chaos in the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer. The villain’s motivation isn’t clear, but X-Men fans can definitely expect a power struggle in the upcoming film. X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer spoke to Yahoo! Movies back in January regarding the tension in the film. Singer compared the X-Men: Apocalypse storyline to Game of Thrones , a show where there are many parties fighting for the Iron Throne.
“There’s a crossover between X-Men and Game Of Thrones , they’re both about a younger generation finding their powers, finding out who they are, and what their place in the world is. I like how the show’s about different groups of people moving towards a common goal,” Singer told Yahoo! Movies. “They don’t even know if that’s the right goal, who wants to sit on that uncomfortable throne? I don’t! Everyone in King’s Landing is miserable. But for some reason they want that power.”
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
