It's been a really bad start to the year for gamers. Not even a week after we reported a major outage on PlayStation Network, players on Xbox Live have not been able to log on since 7 p.m. UK time.
According to the early reports, the Xbox Live outage affected Xbox One and Xbox on Windows and caused major disruptions for in-game matchmaking, cloud storage, finding friends, game DVR, leaderboards, Avatar editing, and pictures. Unfortunately the issues started to snowball as reports confirm that Xbox Live outages occured across both Europe and North America.
"Our teams are investigating & hard at work on the fix for this currently," read a support message from earlier today.
Sadly, whatever caused issues for Xbox One eventually plagued the Xbox 360 users as well.
You can continue to check for the latest status updates for the XboxLive from the Microsoft Xbox support page. The Service status continues to read Limited at this time and the affected platforms include Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Xbox on Windows 10.
